Award-winning hairdresser, salon owner, global ambassador for Matrix, TV regular and media & celebrity favouriteJamie Stevens has been confirmed as an expert guest at the 3rdAnnual Super Salon Summit London this September.
This year Jamie received his seventh consecutive nomination for British Hairdresser of the Year.
There are only 8 hairdressers from across the UK nominated each year, and these represent the industry’s leading talent. Jamie, who opened his eponymous salon at just 18, says: “I eat, sleep and breath the hairdressing industry; I travel around the world as a global ambassador for haircare brand Matrix, work on TV, look after celebrity clients, educate other stylists, and I opened my third salon this year. I have an amazing, talented group of team members, and have my own product range, so it’s a massive honour for me to be nominated for British Hairdresser of the Year again. It’s incredible to be recognised as a worthy ambassador for this industry, and I couldn’t do all this without the support of my work mates, staff, Matrix, my family, friends and my beautiful wife Megan.”
Jamie’s first nomination for HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year Award made him the joint youngest ever contender for the industry’s most esteemed accolade. He’s also been shortlisted several times in categories including London Hairdresser of the Year and Afro Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards, universally recognised as the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing world. Other accolades include Clothes Show Live Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year 2010, the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Ambassador of the Year 2010; Media Personality of 2012; and Hairdresser of the Year 2017; winner of the British Hairdressing Awards Men’s Hairdresser of the Year Award three times (securing a place in the BHA’s Hall of Fame); English Hair & Beauty Awards Men’s Stylist of the Year 2013, winner of the first ever Best Men’s Hairdresser category at the HAIR Awards 2013 & 2015.
Jamie opened a fourth salon at the start of 2018 in Clapham, and has made numerous appearances on ITV’s Lorraine this year as guest hairdresser.His extensive travel has included educating with Matrix from Dubai to Poland, Ibiza, London, Manchester, Ireland and plenty of others in between!
Super Salon Summit is hosted by Twice Winner of Creative Head’s Most Wanted Business Thinker Caroline Sanderson who is shortlisted for the award again for the third time this year. Caroline is renowned for her Innovative Business Thinking in the Salon industry and is the Founder and Director of Salon Jedi LTD a salon coaching company established in 2010. Not only was Caroline the first female to win Most Wanted Business Thinker, she has also been nominated for Great British Creative Entrepreneur of the year.
She is the most awarded Salon Business Coach in the UK with over 60 awards and nominations under her belt and the current holder of Entrepreneur of the Year Scotland and the Best Marketing Salon in the UK as judged by the British Hair and Beauty Awards.
